Thrilled that Janie's Offers Buckwheat Groats

I was very happy when I saw an announcement from Janie's that groats were going to be available. I dry-roast briefly, just in a pan on the stove, then cook as one does rice--until groats are tender, and all water, absorbed. High in protein and fiber, and with a toasty nutty flavor I love, buckwheat groats can be used in a variety of dishes, or solo with just a touch of olive oil, hot mustard, or (don't tell any purists out there!) with some peanut butter swirled in.

Exceptional

I use buckwheat groats to make granola and Janie’s are superior to any I’ve found in stores or online!

Great in the granola

Crunchy! I made the granola recipe with dried cranberries and pecans, and the buckwheat grats added a lot of crunch & nutty flavor. New favorite!
