Our whole kernels of heirloom Bloody Butcher corn are great for distilling, or for home-milling into cornmeal or grits/polenta. When ground, these kernels make flavorful cornbread, muffins, cakes, and other baked goods. They ground kernels are also good as a porridge added to your favorite yeast or sourdough breads.
Bloody Butcher is an heirloom variety first named in the 1800s, although of course its predecessors were developed by Native Americans over thousands of years. -
