    Spelt is an ancient grain that was domesticated around 5,000BC. It has a wholesome taste and robust nutrient profile. It is particularly rich in important minerals such as zinc, iron, phosphorus, copper, and magnesium.

    Our whole organic spelt berries may be used as you would wheat berries, in soups, stews, grain bowls and breakfast bowls.

    You may also mill the whole spelt berries into a very versatile flour that may be substituted for All-Purpose flour in cookies, crackers, quick breads, cakes, and pancakes. Spelt's high enzymatic activity also makes it an excellent flour to feed your sourdough starter.

Excellent spelt for sourdough breads

I find it better tasting than the one i used to buy on Amazon. I get 25lb bags and mill it in my Mockmill when I need to bake which I do every week. My favorite bread is 50% einkorn/50% spelt. I also add spelt to Janie's rye (25 spelt/75 rye).

Very high quality spelt

These spelt berries make wonderful breads. I've made sourdough, breads, pizza, they are absolutely delicious and work very well for rise. Wonderful flavor, healthy and nutritious. They arrived quickly and are top quality. I will definitely be getting more, and am very thankful to have found this place!

The wonderful spelt

I learned about the spelt from a video of Hildegard Von Bingen , and now that I’ve tasted it will stay in my kitchen forever . Breads with this flour are delicious, great nutrition value, and the berries I started to eat more often in my salads .

Spelt is delicious tasting and easy to get good results. I use it in my sourdough bread and bake delicious buns with it. I buy the berries and they have always arrived clean and promptly too. So glad farmers are keeping this wonderful variety available.
